Perfect for Intricate Details: Sink EDM is an excellent choice for applications where there is a need for intricate and small details. This is mainly because it doesn’t penetrate the surface of the metal workpiece too deeply, a feature in such situations.
High Quality Finish: Perhaps the biggest advantage of a sink EDM machine is its ability to generate a very high-quality surface finish on the workpiece. This eliminates the need for any additional finishing processes such as buffing or grinding. If really required, the process can be repeated to achieve the desired finish.
Suitable for Hard Materials: Materials such as tungsten, steel, nickel, and their associated alloys are better suited for sink EDM machines.
